Spider Face Makeup
Didn't get around to doing too many face paints this year but here is one that turned out great! I hate spiders so I'm surprised I was even able to paint this. The trick here is to get the shadows to look right. That way the spiders look like they are 3D.
Kratos God of War Face Makeup
I've been wanting to do a face paint on myself of Kratos the God of War. I just needed my beard to grow longer. For those that don't know, Kratos is the main character in the God of War video games for PlayStation by Santa Monica Studios. They are some of my very favorite games and I just love the look of Kratos, especially in the latest game set in Norse country. I feel like I capture the face pretty well. His body however I'm not even close. The trickiest part was to contour my nose to look more like his. I extended my nostrils and shadowed and highlighted the rest to resemble his. Here is my final look with a little enhancing in photoshop.
And here is my reference image.
And here I am with just an iPhone camera.

Social Media Face Makeup
What lies beyond the 3 inch square is not always posted. At times we may face feelings of heartache, failure, rejection, anxiety, depression... be careful not to compare your behind the scenes to someone’s highlight reel. Comparison is the thief of all joy. There’s more than meets the eye.
Makeup by Mason Barton. Inspired by simple.symphony. After seeing this image we couldn’t wait to recreate. I believe it portrays a reminder we could all use. Peoples lives on social media are not perfect and we must remember we all face challenges people may not even know about, so be kind always.

Survivor Fan!
I have watched survivor since the very beginning. I love everything about it. I even started a submission video to be on it. But then I chickened out. So now I just host viewing parties and we pick our winners. I'm hoping to go to this viewing party and meet Joe and Sierra! Check out the details here:

2018 Movies Reviewed
I can't believe it has been a year since I started sharing my opinion and reviews on movies. Its been fun to do and especially fun to look back on all the ones i've seen in the past year. Most are average films but a few squeak by as being must see. I usually compile a top ten of the year and this is helpful to see how I was feeling about each one at the time rather than trying to remember. So here is a picture of all the reviewed movies in 2018!
